The Daljeet Panghal’s faction of All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) on Friday announced fresh agitation against the state government from February 26.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Daljeet Panghal, Hisar president of AIJASS told mediapersons that a meeting of the Hisar unit was held in Bhagan village, where it was decided to start fresh agitation from Mayyar village.

“The state government must take back the cases registered against the youths during the 2016 quota agitation and release the youths from jail by February 25, or we are under the process to start fresh dharna against the government," Panghal said.

Giving details about the fresh dharna, Daljeet Panghal said, “AIJASS will hold another meeting with the Jat leaders to decide the further course of action. After starting the dharna, we will give three days’ ultimatum to the government to accept our demands, or we will start increasing the number of dharnas. We will hold our dharna peacefully, we are yet to select the place to start our dharna,” Panghal added. Meanwhile, AIJASS led by Yashpal Malik, said, “We have no concern with Daljeet Panghal. They work for government. We are not supporting them.”
