GURDASPUR BJP LEADER’S SON GOES MISSING

GURDASPUR :Archit Mahajan, 27, son of former president of the district unit of the BJP and a local trader, Ashok Vaid, has been missing since Thursday morning.

His Activa was found lying on the bank of the Upper Bari Doab Canal (UBDC), 1 km towards Dhariwal from the Babbehali bridge on the Gurdaspur-Kahnuwan road, 6km from here on Thursday evening.

Ashok Vaid has one son, and one daughter,who has gone abroad for study.

Family sources said that Archit Mahajan had left his house in Gurdaspur on his Activa in depression over something on Thursday at about 10.30 am. He had left his mobile at home which made it difficult for the family to contact him.The boy was married about three months ago and he was reportedly leading a happy life.

Meanwhile, the Tibber police station SHO Raj Kumar located his Activa lying on the bank of the UBDC near the Babbehali bridge on Thursday at about 7.30 pm while villagers said that they had seen the Activa lying abandoned there on Thursday at about 11.00 am.
