EXPRESS TRAIN LINKING ALL TAKHTS STARTS FROM JAN 14
CHANDIGARH : Union minister for railways Piyush Goyal has given a green signal to the long-standing demand of the Sikh community to start an Express train linking all the holy Sikh Takhts, with the first such train to start from January 14, 2019.
Disclosing this, Union minister for food processing industries minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal said the train christened the “Panj Takht Express” would start from the Delhi Safderjung station and return after ten days touching all the Takhts. A ticket would cost ₹15,750.
TWO TRAINS TO NOW STOP AT BEAS
The railways minister has also approved a stop for the Kolkata-Amritsar-Durgiana Express and the Nagpur-Amritsar AC Express at the Beas station. A stop at these trains was the long pending demand for people wanting to visit the Radha Soami Satsang headquarters at Beas. Harsimrat had written a letter to the minister for this. HTC
