AAP’S PRESSER BLUES

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders love to address reporters at the drop of a hat, but haven’t learnt the art of organising press conferences well. The party called journalists to its Chandigarh office on Wednesday for an expose by Justice Zora Singh, a retired high court judge who joined the party last month, on the “role” of the Badals in sacrilege cases. Besides a media manager from the party’s Delhi office, two legislators and some other leaders were present at the much-hyped event. The press corps also turned up in full strength, but the seating arrangement was not proper and there was no sound system. Zora Singh spoke softly and was not audible to most. Then, a barrage of questions followed from all sides, leading to chaos. All in all, an event that will be remembered for poor planning than anything else!
