Kejriwal to address rally in Sonepat’s Gohana on Feb 17

-

CHANDIGARH: Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal will address a rally at Gohana in Sonepat district of Haryana on February 17, state party chief Naveen Jaihind said here on Thursday.

Talking to mediapersons, Jaihind said the state-level rally would be AAP’s show of strength wherein it would exhort people of Haryana to uproot the BJP from the state.

He said workers from across the state would carry placards highlighting the failures of the BJP government and its unfulfilled promises during its rule.

To a question pertaining to the recently held Jind bypoll, he said the AAP had extended support to the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) and the leaders of the two parties would hold a meeting on the issue of alliance for the coming assembly polls. He said the Jind bypoll has demonstrated that the Congress was incapable of ousting the BJP and only AAP could defeat the BJP in Haryana the way it did in Delhi.

CONG RALLIES TOO FROM MID-FEB

Meanwhile, Haryana Congress president Ashok Tanwar said the party would start holding rallies from February 14 onwards.

“The Congress would hold rallies in all the 10 parliamentary constituencies on almost daily basis. Later, rallies would also be planned in assembly segments, which would also be addressed by party’s senior national leaders,” he said.
