Notorious criminal shot 22 times, dies

ROHTAK :A 40-year-old man, who was facing nine cases of murder, was on Wednesday night shot dead by five assailants in Bahadurgarh township of Jhajjar district.

The deceased, identified as Ajay alias Danka, had recently come out on bail from the Jhajjar jail. He had gone to the office of the local councillor when five unidentified men opened fire at him. He died on the spot. The police said as many as 22 shots were fired at him.

The police have so far not been able to trace the accused.
