Leaders not allowed to file papers for mill polls: SAD

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Friday protested, alleging that its candidates were not allowed to file nominations for the elections of board of directors of Cooperative Sugar Mill Society, Bhogpur, on the last day of nominations. The elections for 10 board of directors is scheduled on February 13. SAD candidates, led by Adampur MLA Pawan Kumar Tinu, were allegedly denied entry. “Congress wants to win the elections unopposed. This is why it has resorted to such tactics. This is mockery of democracy,” said Tinu, Adampur MLA .
