Virsa Singh Valtoha (SAD) SAD’s Tarn Taran district chief and a ex-terrorist, Valtoha is a loyalist of party president Sukhbir Badal and his brother-inlaw Bikram Singh Majithia. He won the 2007 and 2012 assembly polls from Khemkaran. A case of murder was reopened against him recently.

Jasbir Singh Dimpa (Congress)

Elected MLA from Beas (now Baba Bakala) for the first time in 2002, Dimpa unsuccessf­ully contested the 2007 assembly polls. His name also did the rounds for ticket in LS polls from Khadoor Sahib in 2014 but the party gave ticket to Harminder Singh Gill.

Ravinder Brahmpura (SAD-Taksali)

Son of incumbent MP Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, Ravinder became MLA for first time in the 2016 bypoll. He won by 65,664 votes on SAD ticket as Congress boycotted the polls. In the 2017 assembly polls, he lost. He was ousted from SAD along with his father.

Bhupinder Singh Bittu (AAP)

Ex-secretary of state Congress , Bittu contested the Khadoor Sahib assembly bypoll as an independen­t in 2016 after resigning from Congress. He later joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and fought the 2017 assembly polls from Khadoor Sahib.

Inderjit Singh Zira (Congress)

Former health minister, Zira was elected MLA in 1997 from Zira on SAD’s ticket. He lost as a Tohra group candidate in 2002. He joined the Congress. His son Kulbir Singh Zira is incumbent MLA from Zira constituen­cy which is in under Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha constituen­cy.
