6 DCs, 8 SSPs SHIFTED IN PUNJAB

The Punjab government on Tuesday shifted 13 IAS officers, including six deputy commission­ers, and a PCS officer with immediate effect. The government also issued transfer orders of 13 IPS and six PPS officers.

After the election commission directed the state government to complete all transfers by February 20 in the wake of Lok Sabha polls, the Punjab government on Tuesday shifted 13 IAS officers and a PCS officer with immediate effect. The government has shifted six deputy commission­ers.

Of the 13 IAS officers, Chander Gaind has been posted as deputy commission­er, Ferozepur, Gurlovleen Singh Sidhu Faridkot, Davinder Pal Singh Kharbanda Kapurthala, Parshant Kumar Goyal Fatehgarh Sahib, Shiv Dular Singh Dhillon Amritsar and Tej Partap Singh Phulka Barnala.

Dharam Pal has been posted as the chief administra­tor, Punjab Urban Planning and Developmen­t Authority (PUDA), in addition to special secretary, housing and urban developmen­t, Balwinder Dhaliwal as director, social justice empowermen­t and minorities, Indu Malhotra as DPI (colleges) and Mohammad Tayyab as director general, school education.

Manjit Brar has been posted as director, industries and commerce, Rajeev Prashar as special secretary, revenue and rehabilita­tion, and Kamaldeep Singh Sangha as secretary, Punjab Agricultur­al Marketing Board.

RESHUFFLE IN POLICE DEPT

The Punjab government also issued transfer orders of 13 IPS and six PPS officers. IGP, intelligen­ce, Naresh Arora, has been posted as IGP, crime replacing Parveen Kumar Arora who has been posted as IGP, intelligen­ce.

Jatinder Singh Aulukh as been posted as IGP headquarte­rs, Punjab and Gursharan Singh Sandhu had been posted as DIG-cum-joint director MRS PPS, Phillaur.

Kuldeep Singh Chahal has been replaced as Mohali SSP with Harcharan Bhullar, who was posted as commandant 82nd Battalion, PAP, Chandigarh. Chahal has been posted as Tarn Taran SSP.

Alka Meena, SSP Fatehgarh Sahib, has been shifted to SBS Nagar replacing Deepak Hilori who has been shifted to Fazilka. Gaurav Garg is new Moga SSP in place of Gulneet Singh Khurana, who had been shifted to Mansa. Amneet Kondal is new Fatehgarh Sahib SSP.

IPS officer Akhil Chaudhary had been shifted as SSP, Vigilance, Chandigarh. PPS officer Sandeep Goel has been posted as SSP, Ferozepur.
