Centre panel to look into grievances of lawyers
The Centre on Tuesday said it will constitute a committee to look into the grievances of the lawyers who are seeking budgetary allocation of ~500 crore for the legal fraternity and other facilities like basic infrastructure, pension, and insurance. “…a committee will be constituted, comprising representatives from lawyers’ community and the Government which will work out a comprehensive scheme. This scheme may include assistance from Central and State Governments, as also involvement of State Bar Councils and the representatives operating Lawyers’ Welfare Fund,” a statement from the law ministry said.
