CONSTITUENCY PRIMER

Gurugram parliamentary constituency came into existence in 2009 after the delimitation exercise in Haryana. Earlier, Gurugram was part of the Mahendragarh parliamentary constituency.

2014: Rao Inderjit Singh, BJP, defeated INLD’s Zakir Hussain by over 2.74 lakh votes

2009: As a Congress candidate, Rao Inderjit defeated Zakir Hussain, who fought on the BSP ticket, by 84,864 votes
