PANCHKULA IRS OFFICER AMONG DEAD

Suresh Kumar, 52, an Indian Revenue Service officer from Panchkula, was among those killed in the inferno. Kumar was posted as an assistant commissioner (income tax) at Jhandewalan in Delhi. He was among the two people who made an unsuccessful bid to escape the blaze by jumping from the hotel building.
