DELHI HOTEL BLAZE: NO LESSONS LEARNT

The death of 17 persons in the Karol Bagh hotel blaze underscored a series of lapses. The only emergency exit was shut, while mandatory fire safety norms were not in place. The hotel management must be hauled up for shocking fire safety violations, including the construction of an illegal floor.
