JOBS, ₹12L EACH TO FAMILIES OF FOUR KILLED FROM STATE

CHANDIGARH: Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh announced a government job to the next of kin of the four CRPF soldiers from the state killed in the Pulwama attack, along with ₹12 lakh in financial assistance to each of their families.

Among the jawans who lost their lives in the attack, Kulwinder Singh of Rupnagar district, Sukhjinder Singh of Tarn Taran, Jaimal Singh of Moga and Maninder Singh of Dinanagar from Gurdaspur hailed from Punjab.

The mortal remains of these brave-hearts would be cremated on Saturday with full state honours, the CM added, expressing solidarity with the families.

Gurdaspur Punjab Congress president and Gurdaspur MP Sunil Jakhar has urged the Centre to give a befitting reply to those responsibl­e for the attack. He also visited the residence of Maninder Singh in Dinanagar.
