MAN GETS LIFE TERM FOR RAPING MINOR

HISAR: A local court on Friday awarded life imprisonment to a youth for abducting and raping a minor Dalit girl in a village under the Uklana subdivision of Hisar.

The court of additional district and sessions judge Dr Pankaj convicted Manjeet while acquitting his two co-accused Sanjay and Monu in the case. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 19,000 on the convict.

According to the FIR, the police had registered a case on October 31, 2017 on the complaint of victim’s father, who told the police that her daughter was abducted on October 29 when she had gone to answer nature’s call.

He had alleged that the accused administered an intoxicant to the victim and took her to an unknown place on a motorcycle and raped her.

He told the police that the girl was thrown near Bhuna area of Fatehabad district.
