Khattar condemns attack, Abhay cancels Pak visit
CHANDIGARH: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday condemned the attack on the CRPF convoy in Avantipora area of Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.
He also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of martyred jawans.
Khattar, who is in Mauritius on three-day visit to participate in the international Gita Mahotsav, was speaking at a seminar organised as part of the festival. He urged the gathering to join him for a two-minute silence in the memory of slain jawans.
He also participated in the prayer organised on this occasion. Swami Gyananand performed the Gita Path, an official release said.
ABHAY CHAUTALA CANCELS PAK VISIT
CHANDIGARH: Leader of opposition in Haryana assembly and INLD MLA Abhay Singh Chautala has cancelled his three-day Pakistan visit in the wake of the terror attack in Kashmir where more than 40 paramilitary personnel were killed.
The INLD leader had sought permission of the court to visit Lahore for attending a wedding from February 16 to 18.
The court on Friday allowed him to visit Pakistan. However, Chautala decided to cancel the visit.
