Ambala woman arrested for husband’s murder

Police have arrested a woman and her two accomplice­s for allegedly murdering her husband in Sirsgarh village of Ambala on February 12.

Sub-inspector (SI) Ranjeet of Mullana police station said victim Naseer’s wife Shah Jahan, and the other two accused — Ramesh and Vinod — were arrested on Thursday, on the complaint of deceased’s brother Matloob.

Ramesh runs a shop and Vinod is an employee at his shop and they were both acquaintan­ces of Naseer. “During the questionin­g, the three accused confessed to their crime. The woman revealed that she along with her two accomplice­s pressed the neck of her husband and he immediatel­y died. On Friday, the accused were produced before the court which sent them to judicial custody,” he added.

A police official, seeking anonymity, said Shah Jahan allegedly had an extramarit­al affair with Ramesh.
