BATHINDA : Shiromani Akali Dali (SAD) has filed a complaint with the election commission (EC) against Congress candidate from Bathinda Lok Sabha seat Amrinder Singh Raja Warring for his alleged provocative speech at Budhlada during a poll campaign on Saturday.

The video of the speech has gone viral on social media. Charanjit Singh Brar, officer on special duty, and SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal submitted the complaint with the EC.

In a representation to panel of poll observers on Monday, SAD candidate Harsimrat Kaur Badal also brought the matter to the notice of the EC. She submitted a representation to the chief election commissioner demanding immediate transfer of Bathinda senior superintendent of police (SSP) Nanak Singh for free and fair polls.

Sub divisional magistrate and assistant returning officer, Budhlada, Aditya Dachwal, said that a complaint has been received regarding speech by Warring from Brar on behalf of the SAD. “We have sought reply from Warring,” he said.
