Pick-and-drop fa­cil­ity for dis­abled vot­ers in Moga

With an aim to en­cour­age peo­ple with dis­abil­ity (PWD) to cast their vote in up­com­ing Lok Sabha elec­tions in Pun­jab on May 19, the dis­trict ad­min­is­tra­tion will pro­vide pick and drop fa­cil­ity to them. Ad­di­tional deputy com­mis­sioner-cum-ad­di­tional elec­toral of­fi­cer (AEO) Anita Darshi said that the move was ini­ti­ated to en­sure that ev­ery cit­i­zen can ex­er­cise their fran­chise. Ac­cord­ing to an of­fi­cial record, 4070 PWD vot­ers are in Ni­hal Singh Wala, 852 in Bagha­pu­rana, 1324 in Moga and 641 in Dharamkot.
