Co­me­di­ans, singers roped in to counter Mann

To counter co­me­dian turned politi­cian sit­ting MP and Aam Aadmi Party can­di­date Bhag­want Mann in Lok Sabha elec­tions the Congress and SAD-BJP can­di­dates are invit­ing co­me­di­ans and singers to fire up the elec­tion cam­paign in San­grur. For­mer AAP Pun­jab con­vener and ac­tor Gur­preet ‘Ghuggi’, is cam­paign­ing for Congress can­di­date Ke­wal Singh Dhillon. Mann mis­guided peo­ple and frag­mented the party for his per­sonal in­ter­ests,” Ghuggi said. In­ter­est­ingly, one time AAP mem­ber and Mann’s friend and singer Balkar Sidhu, who has joined Congress and is cam­paign­ing for Dhillon, al­leged that Mann side­lined his friends af­ter be­com­ing MP. Co­me­dian Bhotu Shah and his team had also en­ter­tained vot­ers be­fore the ar­rival of SAD-BJP can­di­date Par­min­der Singh Dhindsa in ral­lies. How­ever, Dhindsa clar­i­fied that Bhotu Shah was called only for en­ter­tain­ment. How­ever, Mann got the sup­port of his artist friends, as prom­i­nent Pun­jabi singer Har­jit Har­man joined his road­show in Dhuri area. “When pol­i­tics has be­come a game of rich peo­ple, we should sup­port an hon­est and mid­dle class man,” said Har­man.
