Jammu woman accuses husband of killing daughter

Accusing her husband of killing their six-year-old daughter and police of inaction, a woman here on Wednesday staged protest, seeking justice for the deceased child.

Sonu Devi alleged that Sanjana was killed by her husband Suresh Kumar about 25 days ago. He had been roaming free since then and the police were trying to hush up the matter. Sanjana had died under mysterious circumstances on April 19 at Kangrail Bhalwal village in Jammu’s Kanachak.

Kanachak SHO Romal Singh refuted allegations of police inaction.
