FAKE ACCIDENT CLAIMS A BIG BUSINESS

-

Kudos to the Hindustan Times team of reporters for narrating a detailed report of false claims of insurance by a group of fraudsters and creating a nexus of hospital staff and police personnel in defrauding insurance companies of crores of rupees in insurance claims. Equally responsible and merciless are family members who hand over bodies of their kin who died of last stage of cancer to quacks, so they can mutilate the body to depict it as accident for monetary benefits. Such doctors, whose conscience is dead, are killing professional ethics. Such fraud is rampant even in insurance claims of damaged vehicles. Big fraudsters are agents and employees of insurance companies, who benefit from both sides — first when they issue insurance policy and second when they help in claiming false cases.
