MAY DIVINE WRATH FALL UPON THOSE POLITICISING SACRILEGE: MAJITHIA

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia on Thursday said may divine wrath fall upon people politicising the incidents of sacrilege.

Taking out a motorcycle march at Majitha in support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Amritsar parliamentary constituency Hardeep Singh Puri, Majithia said chief minister Amarinder Singh, who had gone back on promises after taking oath of Guru Gobind Singh, could not be trusted.

Urging the people to support Puri, Majithia said the Union minister was capable of representing the holy city at national and international forums.

Remembering his old ties with Amritsar, Puri assured the people that he would devote time with his constituents and leave no stone unturned to bring the perpetrators of 1984 genocide to justice. Attacking Captain government, he said, “Punjabis are being forced to pay inflated power bills. Farm loans had not been waived off, pensions had been stopped, Shagan amount was not raised from ₹15000 to ₹51000 as promised and 800 schools had been closed. Farmers suffered due to absence of gunny bags, but no Congress leader had visited Mandis.”
