Hisar man arrested, wife and son booked for assaulting cops
ACCUSED WAS CALLED TO THE POLICE STATION FOR QUESTIONING
IN A MOLESTATION CASE AGAINST HIM
Police have booked a Hisar resident, his wife, son and two other women for allegedly assaulting a sub-inspector (SI) and a woman assistant sub-inspector (ASI) inside a police station.
Hisar police spokesperson Chander Bhan said that ASI, Usha Devi, stated in her complaint that a woman had filed a molestation complaint against Raj Kumar, a resident of Housing Board colony of Sector 1-4, Hisar.
Police had asked Raj Kumar to appear before them so that the matter could be investigated. Kumar arrived at the police station accompanied by his wife, son and two women, Bhan said .
“When ASI Usha was showing a video clip regarding the molestation complaint on her mobile phone, the accused, his wife and son tried to snatch the device, grabbed her neck, used filthy language, twisted her hand and slapped her. When an SI, Phool Kumar intervened, Kumar and his son beat him up following which they all fled the spot,” Bhan added.
Bhan said that police teams were formed and they arrested Raj Kumar from his residence.
He has been booked under Sections 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 506 (criminal intimidation), 34 (common intention), 341 (wrongful restraint) and 354-A (sexual harassment) of Indian Penal Code (IPC). His wife and son are absconding.
