FOR A BETTER WORLD
On his daughter Medina’s third birthday on May 8, singer Adnan Sami invited all to pray for his child and for the entire humanity. He wrote on Instagram that though “it’s a unique time in mankind’s history” and no celebration is possible, one can pray for a better, healthier world for the children once the Covid-19 nightmare is over.
IT’S NOT ABOUT MIGHT, IT’S ABOUT MIGHTY COURAGE!
This robin built its nest in a traffic light in Ontario, Canada, least scared of the red light that turns off and on throughout the day. It’s a pretty unusual spot for a bird, remarked Scott MacDougall-Shackleton, bird physiology, neurobiology and behaviour expert. NO MESSING WITH MASKS
A gigantic dinosaur at Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, in Los Angeles, US, manages to smile behind his face mask, as a few toys, books and music stores reopen with curbside pickup. The lockdown has been relaxed across the world, but there can be no playing around with safety measures. Face masks will be an indispensable accessory for us in days to come.
Compassion is the only true religion, Covid-19 proves. Burqa-clad Imrana Saifi is seen sanitising Nav Durga Temple in North Delhi’s Nehru Vihar. Pujaris welcome her as she sprays disinfectant inside. Saifi has volunteered to sanitise temples, gurdwaras and mosques in her neighbourhood. The India we love!
