Khattar flags off 2 tankers to bring O2 from Odisha
Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday flagged off two tankers from the Chandigarh international airport for bringing oxygen supply to Haryana.
These tankers have been sent to Bhubaneshwar and will carry about 45 tonne oxygen.
He said the tankers will return with liquid medical oxygen supply from the Tata Steel plant in Odisha.
The CM said supply of medical oxygen is coming from many places including Rourkela, Jamnagar, Angul, etc by train or is being air-lifed. So far, the aircraft has made 19 rounds and 436 MT medical oxygen has been supplied through 36 tankers.
150-bed Covid care centre inaugurated in Sirsa
Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday virtually inaugurated a 150-bedded Covid care centre at Baba Tara Charitable Hospital and Research Centre in Sirsa.
Ventilator beds have been installed at the centre along with facility of oxygen. Khattar said there is no shortage of oxygen in state.
The state quota has increased from 152 tonnes to 282 MT. He said an oxygen cylinder refilling facility is being made available to patients staying in home isolation.
A portal has been made for this system on which patients and social organisations can get themselves registered.
Covid hospital gets functional in Faridabad
Union minister of state for social justice and empowerment Krishan Pal Gurjar said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee Covid-19 Medical College at Chhainsa in Faridabad, made operational on Tuesday, has 100 oxygen beds, of which 65 beds are reserved for men and 35 for women.
The medical college made operational by the army under the command of Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, the commander of Western Command, will soon have 35 ventilator beds. Around 300 oxygen cylinders have also been arranged for this hospital with a 24-hour ambulance service.
