SHAH, NADDA MEET PUNJAB BJP LEADERS

-

CHANDIGARH: Union home minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda on Tuesday took feedback from the party’s Punjab unit about the political scenario in the state ahead of the 2022 assembly elections.

According to a senior party functionary, who was part of the two-hour-long meeting held in the national capital, both BJP leaders asked the state unit to chalk out a road map and submit it to the party high command in the next 10 days. No discussion was held on the ongoing farm protest, senior leaders confirmed.

“Both Nadda and Shah discussed the present political scenario in Punjab and how the BJP can play a decisive role in state politics. They also specifically asked about the present status of the ruling Congress, SAD and AAP, and how the BJP can improve its chances,” said a senior leader.
