₹45 crore released for govt schools
The Punjab government has released ₹ 45.66 crore for the purchase of new goods in place of damaged or dilapidated ones in government schools. School education minister Harjot Singh Bains said this amount has been released to government elementary, high and senior secondary schools for the replacement of damaged goods and purchase of sports equipment, laboratory equipment and necessary teaching aids. Also, 10% of the amount will be spent on the activities carried out under the sanitation action plan.
