World Television Day

I would like to draw attention towards ‘World Television Day’ celebrated on November 21 since 1996. On this day, the United Nations held the first World Television Forum. The day is celebrated to highlight the impact of television. For some television is a source of information and entertainment, whereas some call it an ‘idiot box’. Television brought the world closer but it also became an addiction for some. One should not believe everything that is shown on television and it should be the responsibility of the broadcast company to give people the correct facts and figures.
