Tech industry layoffs are bad news

The world’s leading tech companies are in the grip of a slowdown resulting in thousands of layoffs, over 50,000 to date. This shows poor anticipation of the business slowdown and its wrenching consequences. There is a huge human cost to the large-scale layoffs and eventually, the workers will be turning to their networks to seek help in finding new jobs. The key cause of the deterioration, it seems, is the Ukraine war. Whatever the reason, the bad news seems unending.
