Jalandhar DC: Canal water supply to start next year

JALANDHAR: While reviewing the progress of the surface water project, Jalandhar DC on Friday Jaspreet Singh said the supply of canal water would start in September next year. He asked the officers concerned to spare no effort in implementing the project at the earliest. He said construction of underground tanks at Burlton Park, Dhillawan, Model Town, and Surya Enclave under the project was going on a war footing. He also reviewed progress of STPs at Adampur, Kartarpur, and Goraya. He said about 80% of the land has been acquired under the Jalandhar Bypass Project.
