Police should stop construction of illegal statues

If the statues are illegally built, then why do the police wait for construction to end to demolish them? Instead, the construction shouldn’t be allowed to start. The government needs to be more responsible and less hypocritical. In speeches, they talk about equality and engage in competitive statue building, but if people of the Dalit community are making statues by crowd-funding, then they are getting demolished. Police reporting that the public is not cooperating doesn’t make sense when the police are not following the law.
