Political favour to criminals

One feels appalled to see how all values have gone topsyturvy in our country. We bemoan the fact that crimes are on the rise. When the criminals are blue-eyed persons for our leaders, how can crimes come down? The judiciary and the political class are not working in tandem. Those who are declared dreaded convicts by court are being released prematurely under political machinations and recommendations of the state government (release of convicts in Bilkis Bano gang rape case and Rajiv Gandhi assassins). Their heroic welcome raises a question mark over the fairness of our justice delivery system.
