Teenage girl ends life in Karnal, 7 booked

KARNAL : A 14-year-old girl allegedly died by suicide at her residence in Taraori town of Karnal district. The police said the incident took place on Wednesday when the Class 9 student was alone at her house. However, the police have booked seven persons under Sections 306 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The father of the victim told the police that he had gone out for work with his wife and on reaching home, they found her hanging with the ceiling fan.

He accused his two younger brothers of occultism and forcing his daughter to take the extreme step.
