Guj campaign: Oppn takes a dig at Mann
Chief minister Bhagwant Mann’s hectic campaign for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidates in the Gujarat assembly elections has been a bone of contention between the ruling and the Opposition parties in Punjab. The AAP’s media team has been posting videos of Mann’s poll speeches and roadshows on social media and putting out press releases with photos to publicise back home his effort and the “massive” public response he is getting in the poll-bound state. But the Opposition Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) have hit back at the CM and his party, accusing the AAP of “completely abandoning” Punjab for Gujarat polls, and even countered their claims of support. “Such a massive response to our Chief Minister @BhagwantMann’s road show in GUJARAT! Unbelievable! Mann Sahib, come back to the village. It is enough now,” SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal wrote in a sarcastic post on Twitter along with a short video of one of the chief minister’s campaign outings.
