PROFESSOR SUSPENDED FORCALLING STUDENT TERRORIST

A professor at Manipal Institute of Technology in Karnataka’s Udupi district was on Monday barred from taking further classes for allegedly comparing a student to terrorist Ajmal Kasab.

The incident came to light after a video of the student reprimanding the professor surfaced on social media on Monday. HT could not independently verify the authenticity of the video. As per the exchange in the video between the student and professor, the latter upon hearing the student’s name, said: “You are like Kasab”. The video shows the student criticisng the professor for the comparison.
