‘SOMEONE SAID I’D BE A ONE FILM WONDER’

Nidhhi Agerwal considers herself an extreme person, so she’s prepared for all the criticism that comes her way

Nidhhi Agerwal (right) had a dream debut in Bollywood when she got to star opposite Tiger Shroff in the recently released film Munna Michael. However, she wasn’t spared from unwanted criticism. Like many other newcomers in the industry, she also received “free advice” from all corners.

“The funniest thing happened, right after I signed Munna Michael, someone told me, ‘haan, bahut saari ladkiyan ek film kar leti hain (a lot of girls turn out to be one film wonders). But I was like it is okay,” recalls Nidhhi, adding that these kind of comments had started much earlier when she was a model.

Not disheartened by the debacle of the film at the box office, Nidhhi says, “During my modelling days, I would hear that there’s no dearth of female models aspiring to be actors. So, people would always have that negative connotation in their comments,” adds Nidhhi. The 23-year-old actor proudly says that she has remained immune to the mean comments that came her way. “I think even if you do five films, some people would be like ‘yeah, no big deal’,” she says. “I don’t care. I consider myself an extreme person, so I’m prepared for all this,” says Nidhhi, adding that she is just focused on her work. “At the end, if you are good in your film and you have more films coming your way and good characters to play, nothing else counts. You should not take all these comments seriously,” she adds.
