AAMIR’S REWARDING EXPERIENCE
Actor Aamir Khan became a member of the PVR Privilege Program, which was launched at a special event on October 10, in the Capital. Aamir, whose film Secret Superstar will hit theaters soon, was welcomed as a member of PVR’s loyalty program by Ajay Bijli, chairman and managing director, PVR Ltd and Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, joint managing director, PVR Ltd.
It’s not always that you can have your cake and eat it too. But with PVR Privilege — the new loyalty programme by PVR Cinemas — you might eat that cake many times over.
Consider this. You pay `300 to register and get your PVR Privilege membership, which comes with what could be India’s first virtual loyalty card. The `300 immediately transforms into F&B vouchers of the same value.
Next time you go to any of PVR’s 600 screens, you use the voucher to buy that favourite popcorn or drink. Now remember to scan the virtual card, within the PVR app at the cinema, and your account will open with 15 reward points (5 for every `100 that is spent). Each point is equal to a rupee. When you accumulate 50 points, the account automatically generates vouchers that you can spend at the box office or on F&B. And no, it’s not over. You get a bonus of 50 points on your birthday month.
Not surprisingly Ajay Bijli and his brother Sanjeev Kumar Bijli are super excited about the loyalty program.
“It will enable members to enjoy a remarkably simple and a fast way to free tickets or F&B offerings at PVR cinemas. By being an early mover in offering a loyalty program, PVR continues to enhance the movie going experience for PVR’s valued guests,” says Sanjeev.
With a customer base of 75 million across 131 properties in 51 cities, PVR is hoping that the Privilege loyalty program will give one more reason for movie-lovers to throng its cinemas.
“The PVR Privilege card is a strategic move to delight, create and retain loyal customers,” says Kamal Gianchandani, Chief of Strategy, PVR Limited.
That will surely sound like music for PVR’s customers. It might not be an exaggeration to say that festivities have begun!
PRIVILEGE MEMBERSHIP, ONE OF INDIA’S FIRST VIRTUAL LOYALTY CARDS, WILL PROVIDE MOVIE GOERS ANOTHER REASON TO THRONG THE PVR CINEMAS
