IT’S QUITE A CHALLENGE: SAIF ALI KHAN

The actor is working on two films, and promoting and dubbing for his first web series

It is not unusual for actors to juggle multiple films simultaneously, but it does get difficult when promotions are a part of the picture. Saif Ali Khan is currently shooting for Navdeep Singh’s film, in which he plays a Pathan who seeks revenge for his family’s murder. The actor has been stationed in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, for the past two months for the shoot. His wife, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, and son, Taimur, recently visited him on the sets because he couldn’t catch a break. And according to a source close to the actor, Saif has lately been working overtime, since he has also started promoting his digital show, his first on this platform.

The source says, “Saif has often played diverse roles in his films, be it Omkara (2006), Chef (2017) or Kaalakaandi (2017). He makes it a point to push the envelope and test his limits as an actor. Saif is currently shooting in Rajasthan, but he also has to travel to and from Mumbai since he is dubbing for his web series. Some patch work for his next project, Bazaar, is pending, too, so he has been shooting for that in Mumbai as well. But now, the promotions of his web series have started, so he also has a couple of magazine shoots lined up.” The source adds, “Sara (Saif’s daughter with his exwife, actor Amrita Singh) is also gearing up to make her debut, and Saif has been keeping tabs on that, too.”

Saif says, “I’m shooting for Navdeep’s film and then am going to immediately begin with the promotions of (the web show) Sacred Games. It has been a packed schedule, as I’m shooting for a lot of things simultaneously and literally hopping from one set to another. It’s quite a challenge, but it’s exhilarating in many ways. It’s an exciting phase and everything’s shaping up great.”
