Deepika is globetrotting for work
She has always had a great lineup of films, but of late actor Deepika Padukone seems to have turned into a super-busy globetrotter as well. Over the past month or so, the actor has been caught up with back-to-back international work commitments.
“After slaying in her red hot outfit at MET Gala, Deepika also made an appearance at the Cannes as a part of her brand commitment. In the latest instance, she went to New York, USA, for a magazine shoot and has just landed in Mumbai after wrapping up the gruelling shoot,” says an insider.
Although Deepika has been extremely busy and is constantly on the go for work, she has been enjoying her “busy days.” “She isn’t complaining at all about her trips abroad. In fact, she is enjoying soaking in all the different experiences and myriad cultures,” adds the insider.
Earlier this year, the Padmaavat actor also featured in Time magazine’s 100 most influential people across globe. Around Women’s Day (March 8), Deepika was also named in Variety Magazine’s International Women’s Impact report. She got lauded for her contribution to cinema and for her philanthropic efforts.
“Besides her on-screen exploits (her film, Padmaavat tasted humungous success), Deepika is happy that she is making her presence felt on the global stage. Although she has been constantly away from her near-and-dear ones, Deepika feels it’s not something to complain about as not many Indian actors get such opportunities,” says the insider.
Workwise, Deepika is reportedly set to follow up Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat with Bollywood’s first female superhero franchise, which will apparently be modelled on Hollywood’s Gal Gadot-starrer Wonder Woman franchise.
