Hugh in Guy Ritchie’s Toff Guys; set to play scribe

Hugh Grant is all set to fea­ture in Guy Ritchie’s Toff Guys. He will be join­ing the al­ready starstud­ded cast list that in­cludes ac­tors Henry Gold­ing, Kate Beck­in­sale and Matthew McConaughey.

Penned by Ritchie and Marn Davies, the script fo­cuses on the col­li­sion be­tween Euro­pean “old money” and the mod­ern mar­i­juana in­dus­try. Ac­cord­ing to The Hol­ly­wood Re­porter, the film fol­lows an Eng­lish drug lord, who tries to make some profit by sell­ing his em­pire to a dy­nasty of Ok­la­homa bil­lion­aires. The Not­ting Hill (1999) ac­tor will be seen play­ing the role of a Bri­tish tabloid re­porter. The pro­duc­tion is sched­uled to start this fall in Eng­land. Guy Ritchie’s past cred­its in­clude Sher­lock Holmes (2009), King Arthur: Leg­end of the Sword (2017) and The Man from U.N.C.L.E (2015).
