‘A lot more people know me now’
Most of the things in actor Shikha Talsania’s life happened organically. The actor, who was last seen in Shashanka Ghosh’s film Veere Di Wedding, shares that she always wanted to be a performing artist but never knew that she would become an actor. So, when she got the opportunity to work in plays in college, she took it up. After finishing college, Shikha went through a soulsearching phase and she felt she should focus on acting a little more. And her inspirations are her parents, actors Tiku and Dipti Talsania.
“I enjoy acting because I have grown up in that environment and saw my parents perform. I enjoyed being with them and be a help every way possible. But then, all these are not just the only aspects in my life. I want to explore my creative mind a little more and there are other things that I want to do as a performer,” says Shikha,
Her character in the film, Meera, received a lot of appreciation from the audience and the critics. “There are so many good things that happened with the film. People still come up to me and have good things to say.”
In an earlier interview, Shikha had said that she is open to offers similar to the role of Meera. When asked about it the actor explains, “Honestly, my intent right now is to do everything. I am hungry as an actor. Even if you give me roles similar to that of Meera’s, I will add a different touch to the character and make it interesting.”
