Mere Naam Tu celebrates romance between equals
The first song from the Shah Rukh Khanstarrer, Zero, Mere Naam Tu, that launches today, depicts the romance between Bauua aka Shah Rukh and Aafia played by Anushka Sharma. The track, from the muchanticipated film of the year, showcases two individuals embracing and celebrating each other’s imperfections.
Mere Naam Tu, composed by the popular duo, AjayAtul, is crooned by Abhay Jodhpurkar, and penned by Irshad Kamil. Director Aanand L Rai, who is known for his colourful depictions of stories, is all set to present a visual treat. Glimpses of the song were seen in the trailer and the song has struck a chord with the viewers even before the release, and a source from the production house says that a lot of covers of the song are already all over the internet.
Talking about the song, Aanand says, “Mere Naam Tu is not just a romantic track, it has a magical quality to it, With this song, we have attempted to celebrate everyone’s imperfections, and feature a romance between two equal individuals. This was the first song shot for the film, and hence, the most difficult as well. However, the video is so beautiful that it will make you fall in love."
Zero is a story that celebrates life and features Shah Rukh as a vertically challenged man. Anushka is seen essaying the role of a girl with cerebral palsy, while Katrina Kaif plays a Bollywood superstar.
Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions come together to bring Zero, produced by Gauri Khan. The Aanand L Rai directorial is all set to release on December 21, 2018.
