Kishori Shahane Vij on her son looking at a career in Bollywood

Actor Kishori Shahane Vij is a known face on both the big and small screen. And now the actor is looking forward to passing on her legacy to her son, Bobby Vij, who is all set to make his acting debut. The actor shares that talks are on and soon an announcement will be made.

“Bobby has been passionate since his childhood. Even while in school, he would do various programmes. He has been part of two movies (Shirdi Sai Baba, 2001 and Malik Ek, 2010) as a child actor. For quite some time now, he has been working towards his dream and has also been trained in dance, martial arts and gymnastics. He has also got himself trained as an actor on stage. I am not saying all this because I am a mother, but Bobby is a natural actor and I hope he gets the opportunity to prove himself,” says Kishori, who has done films and TV shows such as Shagird (2011), Mohenjo Daro (2016) and Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Do Dil Ek Jaan, respectively.

Though Kishori’s husband Deepak Balraj Vij is a filmmaker, the couple is not keen on launching Bobby. She shares that both want Bobby to create his own space in the industry. “He will definitely get all the guidance that is required from us but at the end of the day, everything depends on him. There’s a lot of hard work and uncertainties that are part of the profession. We have been telling him to give his best at every step,” she says.

Meanwhile, Bobby reportedly has been getting a lot of offers from TV, but he has not accepted any of them. Confirming the same Kishori shares, “He is interested in doing films right now. The focus is on good stories. If given an option he would like to do romantic and actionoriented films.”
