DWAYNE WAS THE FIRST CHOICE TO HOST OSCARS

Dwayne The Rock Johnson has revealed that he was in talks with the Academy to host the upcoming Academy Awards, but that didn’t work out as the actor was busy shooting for the second instalment of the Jumanji franchise. On Thursday, in response to a fan’s suggestion on Twitter asking Oscars to let The Rock host the ceremony, Rock revealed that he was the “first choice” to host the upcoming 91st Academy awards. “Ah mahalo dude, I was their first choice to host this year, and my goal was to make it the most fun and entertaining Oscars ever. We all tried hard, but couldn’t make it work since I’m shooting. Academy and I were super bummed but maybe one day down the road.” The Academy is still searching for a host, after comedian Kevin Hart stepped down.
