Adah tightlipped about global project
She is in talks for an international project, but actor Adah Sharma is not going out and about discussing it. Even though photos of her look are out, she is sceptical as the makers are yet to make a formal announcement. Also, the actor says she fears losing out on the project or getting replaced, as Adah has faced such instances in the past. So, this time she is being extra cautious.
“It takes time to better your craft and build your space in the industry. There have been times when I got selected and even started shooting for the project. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out at the last minute or I would simply be replaced. I remember once I was replaced by a star kid after shooting for a film for 15 days. And trust me, each time it happened, it felt bad,” she says, admitting that she has learned her lesson the hard way.
Prod her further on her international film but she remains tight-lipped. “They are very strict with the way they go about things. So, I will have to follow the protocol. It’s an interesting story and my character is something that I have not played before, so I am looking forward to that,” adds the actor, known for Hindi films such as 1920 (2008), Hasee Toh Phasee (2014) and Commando 2 (2017) besides her work in south Indian films.
Talking about Hindi films that she recently watched, Adah is quick to mention last year’s AndhaDhun and Simmba. She even says those are the kinds of films she wants to do going forward. “This is the kind of variety I’d like to explore as an actor. It would help me better my craft,” she adds.
