There was a point in time when actor Emilia Clarke was worried about losing out on her role in fantasy drama Game Of Thrones.
It was when the 33-year-old actor, known for portraying Daenerys Targaryen in the hit series for the entirety of its run, experienced two health scares — brain aneurysms in 2011 and again in 2013. She only went public with her ordeal earlier this year, and revealed that she was devastated that she had to go through the traumatic experience while living in the public eye, reports dailymail.co.uk.
Clarke spoke about it on the Jessie Ware’s Table Manners podcast, “With the first one, I couldn’t let them know what had happened until they knew that I wasn’t going to die. So it took us three weeks to be like, ‘Sorry for not answering the old emails. I’ve just been a bit, you know... I’m fine! By the way, everything’s great. I’m totally fine. I’m going to be back to work, nothing wrong’s with me. I’m all good’.”
She added, “I just was, and consistently, so scared of being fired for whatever reason. So I was just like... that was just me, more than [them]. I had no idea how taken care of I was.”
Clarke had also admitted she “wanted to disappear” when she suffered her second brain aneurysm. She said, “Brain haemorrhages are the literal, physical embodiment of what it is to be attacked on social media, because I didn’t want to look anyone in the eye, and I didn’t want anyone to recognise me. I wanted to disappear completely, to wipe myself off the face of the earth, because I couldn’t handle the level of interaction. Because I felt totally laid bare, totally vulnerable, totally in pain.”
Clarke credits her mother for being the ”greatest support”.
There’s something in showbiz that makes actor Leonardo DiCaprio feel “nauseated”, reports independent.co.uk.
The 45-year-old was discussing The Revenant — the film for which he won the Best Actor Oscar in 2016 — in an interview with Deadline, and he opened up about the difficulties of being an actor.
He was asked about the “ordeal” of the filming process, which DiCaprio has previously said involved some of the toughest things he has had to face in his career.
When it was pointed out that filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu hasn’t directed a feature film since The Revenant, DiCaprio replied: “No, he hasn’t. We’ve
Reality TV personality Kris Jenner keeps her life-sized wax figure at her house, rather than placing it in a museum like any other celebrity.
In a video shared on Instagram stories, Kris’ daughter Kim Kardashian showed her followers the lifelike wax figure sitting at the bar in a tuxedo, reports aceshowbiz.com.
“You guys have no idea how real this looks. It’s insane. It’s exact down to the little mark she has. This is her exact hairline. I can’t even tell you how creepy and amazing this is,” Kim said while pointing to a beauty mark on its chin.
Model Chrissy Teigen was also taken aback by the wax figure. She was seen in a video shared by Kris, appearing to be completely mesmerised by the figure.
“Okay, Chrissy is obsessed with me. She’s staring at it like it’s me, but it’s not even me,” Kris said in the video. been talking about some things. But in terms of gearing up for these things, I’m not going to give you a massive song and dance about the difficulties. I get nauseated when I hear people talk about how difficult the industry is. That makes me nauseous because we’re so f ****** lucky to do what we do.”
However, the Titanic actor acknowledged that working on The Revenant was “an exhausting experience”. DiCaprio is currently in the awards race for his stellar performance as Rick Dalton in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood.

Isn’t It Romantic co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Rebel Wilson have been sued for sharing paparazzi photographs on their Instagram accounts.
According to Splash News, Hemsworth claimed in a California federal court that he infringed its rights in a behind-the-scenes photograph of him on the film’s set that it licensed to The Daily Mail.
Attorney Peter Perkowski argued that Hemsworth’s over 13 million Instagram followers would have been interested in seeing the image in magazines that paid to license it. Splash said the infringement was wilful and so Hemsworth should pay statutory damages of up to $150,000 for each unauthorised use -- plus another $25,000 for removing the watermark.
The lawyer on the same day sued Wilson on behalf of Xposure Photo Agency.
Wilson is being sued over photographs from the set of The Hustle that were posted on her Instagram and Twitter accounts in April 2018.
