“I had earlier donated blood with a lot of hesitation. But, now I have no fear. I have donated blood seven times so far and I find it healthy,” said third year students Akhilesh, Gaurav Daniel and Shrey Sagar who donated blood at the camp held outside the college.

The second year students also showed enthusiasm after getting over their initial fear. Gitanjali said she was afraid of donating blood last year.

“This year, however, I am enthusiastic,” she added. Students Mandip Singh, Sikandar, Aisha, Neha, Nancy Chandra, Rahul Singh and others who donated blood said that if their blood could save somebody’s life, there was no harm.

Principal of the college Fr T Nishaant and vice principal Fr Sushil Bilung encouraged the students at the camp. Staff members BN Chaudhary, Fr Jose Kalapura, along with members of the college’s awareness committee Kalpana Kumari and Ajay Kumar Singh, oversaw the proceedings.
