FELLOWSHIP COURSE IN IGIMS
PATNA: The Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) in collaboration with the Indian Association of Endoscopic Surgeons will conduct a 4-day fellowship programme for endoscopic surgeons beginning October 4.
Talking to newsmen here on Saturday, director of the IGIMS, Dr Arun Kumar, said that the fellowship course had been designed to develop the skills of laparoscopic surgeons in the state. The course president would be Dr AP Sinha, while Dr Vijay Kumar Mittal would be the course director, he said.
Well know laparoscopic surgeons Dr Pradeep Chowbey, Dr Rajesh Khullar and Dr HP Garg from New Delhi would impart training to the participants on the latest developments in the field, he said. Several experts of the state including Dr VK Mittal and Dr KK Kanth would share their experiences with the participants. They would also conduct live surgeries during the fellowship programme, he said. He informed, a written examination would be conducted to test the skill of the candidates at the end of the programme, on the basis of which, certificates would be awarded to the participants.
