Tripura extremists seek R50- lakh ransom to release 3 men
AGARTALA: Suspected National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) has demanded R50 lakh ransom to negotiate the release of three people kidnapped on Mizoram-Tripura border on Monday. Two timber merchants from Tripura and their driver were kidnapped at a gunpoint in Mizoram, the police said on Tuesday. "The gunmen took them inside forests after kidnapping," the police said. Security circles believe Swapan Kumar Roy, Govinda Nath and driver Shankar Nath have been taken to Bangladesh.
